Hello incoming first graders and their parents:
It's going to be a busy year at LPA!

If you have not already gone shopping for your supplies for first grade, please do so soon! There are some excellent sales in progress!
Each Child needs to bring these to school and please do NOT label them, as they will be shared by the class:

4 boxes of crayons

Erasers (please get the bigger ones, not the ones that fit on a pencil)

School starts on August 11 @ 8:30 AM School is out at 3:15 PM. If your child is sick or you have plans that will have your child out of school, please email me or send a note in with your child so that arrangements can be made for missed tests or homework.

I will be sending home several forms that need to be filled out completely and returned to me the 1st week of school. Please notify me and the front office if your contact information changes throughout the year.
I will also be sending home an August Snack Calendar. We will have 28 students and it will be important for your child to remember his/her snack day. Please note, that we cannot accept homemade goodies... only store bought items please. Also, if it is your child's birthday and you wish to bring in treats, please make sure you have napkins, forks, cups and something to cut a cake with, for example. We do not always have those extra's on hand.

Lastly, I'm looking forward to a great year! It is very important that we communicate in the event there are concerns on either side. The best way to get in touch with me is via email. That information will be sent home with my first school newsletter on August 15th.

I look forward to meeting you and your child on the first day of school! Mrs. Childress
