Week of August 22, 2011

Wow! Can't believe another week has flown by! We are finally getting into somewhat of a routine. Thanks to all the parents who have helped out in the first few days of school, whether bringing in extra supplies, comforting somebody who was missing mom or supporting the school with the discipline matrix!

The spelling words for this week are as follows:

1. Bed
2. Led
3. Met
4. Get
5. Pen
6. Ten
7. Yes
8. Then
9. Tuesday
10. Blue
11. Not ** extra credit
12. Pop ** extra credit

Just like last week, your child will have the 2 page (front and back) extra supplemental spelling work sheets to complete any time during the week and turn in on Friday. We will always have a spelling test on Friday unless there is no school, a holiday or other special event.

Speaking of special events: here are some you want to keep an eye on happening around school!!

August 22 Entertainment books go on sale. There is a LOT of new cool stuff in them this year!!

August 25 Class picture day. This is a day for SCHOOL UNIFORMS ONLY.

August 29 Book Fair throughout the week.

August 31 OPEN HOUSE! The kids have been working really hard on some fun projects! Please try to stop by and say "hi" and then go to the book fair.
